Towards an E-Government Enterprise Architecture Framework for Developing Economies

The growth and uptake of e-government in developing economies are still affected by the interoperability challenge, which can be perceived as an orchestration several issues that imply existence gaps methods used for planning implementation. To a great extent, various counterparts developed have succeeded addressing method-related enterprise architectures, blueprints guiding initiatives holistic manageable way. However, existing architectures country-specific to appropriately serve their intended purpose, while architecture frameworks or generic accommodate contexts. latter do not directly unique peculiarities efforts. Thus, detailed method is lacking adapted develop fit address gap, this article presents research adopted Design Science approach e-Government Enterprise Architecture Framework (EGEAF), explicit design economy. EGEAF was designed extending Development Method Open Group (TOGAF ADM) requirements interoperable solutions evaluated using two scenarios Ugandan context, findings indicate it feasible; its understandable enable adoption extension other economies.
